    Monday’s program featured an update from Manhattan Fire and Codes officials. Joining the show were Assistant Chief, Risk Reduction and Code Services Ryan Courtright, Deputy Building Official Darren Emery and Deputy Fire Marshal Jake Powell. Topics discussed included the retirement of former Assistant Chief Brad Claussen last week after 30 years of service, fire prevention week beginning Oct. 6 and the upcoming Manhattan Fire Department Open House on Oct. 13.

    Flint Hills Wellness Coalition Chair Debbie Nuss joined KMAN to discuss the ongoing Riley County Community Needs Assessment, of which she is the project manager on. The survey is available online at rileycountycommunityneedsassessment.org through Oct. 25.
