Manhattan Virtual Academy Principal Brooke Blanck joined us to highlight the online learning program at USD 383 Manhattan/Ogden Schools which is now in its 13th year with an enrollment of more than 160 students this fall.
Manhattan Parks and Recreation, Sunset Zoo and the T. Russell Reitz Animal Shelter was the focus of the second half of our program. Guests included Erin Pennington, Communication Coordinator for the Vice President of Research for Kansas State University highlighting Science in Communication Week activities; Sunset Zoo Marketing and Development Officer Melissa Kirkwood previewing Spooktacular Oct. 26-27 at the zoo; and Animal Shelter Director Deb Watkins previewed Howl and Prowl at Manhattan City Park Oct. 27 with special guest Richard the kitten.
