A suspect who had escaped custody from the Riley County Police Department has been apprehended.

33 year old Cory Calkins, of Manhattan, was taken into custody around 4:30 pm on Thursday. Calkins escaped from RCPD custody on November 2 after being apprehended. He was arrested on probable cause offenses of aggravated burglary, possession of meth, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Calkins is being booked on those offenses along with aggravated escape from custody, interference with LEO, and theft. The offenses are from 3 separate cases. Calkins is being held at the Riley County Jail on a 44 thousand dollar bond.

The RCPD has thanked those who gave them the tips that led to Calkins’ arrest.
