    The following summary of calls for service/reports filed by the Riley County Police Department is a portion of those received by police.  Some names, addresses, and case details are withheld to follow local, state, and federal law as well as in an attempt to protect community members from being victimized further.  Those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

    MANHATTAN, KAN. –

    Officers filed a report for theft in the 1600 block of Hill Valley Dr. in Manhattan on November 6, 2019, at approximately 12:00 PM. Officers listed a 54-year-old male as the victim when he reported a known male suspect took a 22′ Werner Ladder, a 20V Cordless Dewault Grinder, and a 18V Senco screw gun. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $500.00.

    Officers filed a report for criminal damage to property in Manhattan on November 11, 2019. Officers listed a 66-year-old female as the victim when she reported a known 38-year-old female damaged the door of her home. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $1,115.00. Due to the nature of the crime reported (domestic), no additional information will be released.
