Kansas State University is reporting record-high job placement rates in one of its most recent graduation classes.

According to the university’s post-graduation report, 97 percent of bachelor’s degree graduates in the 2018-2019 class either found jobs or continued their education less than six months after graduating.

This is up from 96 percent in the 2017-2018 class and 95 percent in the 2016-2017 class.

2018-2019 bachelors degree graduates also reported a median salary of more than $48,000, which Career Center Director Kerri Keller says is up 7 percent from a year ago.

56 percent of these graduates found jobs in Kansas with 76 percent finding jobs in Kansas, Colorado, Missouri, Nebraska and Oklahoma.
