Riley County has two more positive cases of the coronavirus, bringing the total to 31.
The new cases involve 57-year-old female and a 54-year-old male. There is no relation between the two patients, according to Julie Gibbs, the Riley County Health Department Director.
They each had contact with another known case in the community and are currently recovering in their homes.
Gibbs has also reported that a previously identified patient is currently at Ascension Via Christi Hospital with “severe lower respiratory symptoms.” This patient is a female and is the only Riley County resident being treated for COVID-19 in a hospital, but there are patients from other counties being treated for the coronavirus at Ascension Via Christi Hospital.
13 of the 31 positive cases in Riley County have recovered while the other 18 are being monitored.
There have been 217 negative tests in the county and 12 tests are pending.

Overall, Pottawatomie County has performed 123 tests.
