Sunday afternoon was the deadline for Major League Baseball teams to announce the 60 players that would come to their home city for the 2020 Major League Baseball season. For the Kansas City Royals, their list consists of familiar names and top prospects.

Out of the 60 players that will arrive in Kansas City on July 1, 17 of them are among the Royals top 30 prospects, according to MLB Pipeline. Notable absences include (#5) OF Erick Pena and (#9) RHP Jonathan Bowlan. 2019 draft pick INF Brady McConnell who is #15 on the prospect list, was also left off the list.

Notables that made the list of 60 include #1 Royals prospect Bobby Witt Jr. Witt will most likely not see any time on the big league roster this season, but without a minor league season, he will be kept with the team to continue working out and progressing. #2, #3 and #4 prospects Brady Singer, Daniel Lynch and Jackson Kowar will join the team in Kansas City.

Another notable on the team is Junction City’s Nick Heath, who is currently on the Royals 40 man roster and he’s base running prowess could land him a spot on the Opening Day 30 man roster. MLB rosters will start at 30, before going down to 28 and then eventually to the new standard 26 by the end of the season.

In total, 7 of the Top 10 Royals prospects will be a part of the 60 man squad. Below you can find the list view of the invitees. If they are a prospect, their team ranking will be in parentheses as well as their estimated time of arrival year.
