    The following summary of calls for service/reports filed by the Riley County Police Department is a portion of those received by police.  Some names, addresses, and case details are withheld to follow local, state, and federal law as well as in an attempt to protect community members from being victimized further.  Those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

    MANHATTAN, KAN. –

    Officers filed a report for theft in the 300 block of Brookvalley Dr. in Manhattan on September 28, 2020, at approximately 8:27 a.m. Officers listed Taussig Landscape LLC as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect stole a 2019 white Ford F-350. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $40,000.00. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.00.

    Officers filed a report for rape in Manhattan on September 28, 2020, at approximately 1:16 p.m. Officers listed a 19-year-old female as the victim. Due to the nature of the crime reported, no additional information will be released.

    Officers filed a report for criminal damage to property in the 600 block of Goodrich Dr. in Manhattan on September 28, 2020, at approximately 8:49 p.m. Officers listed a 32-year-old female as the victim when it was reported a 34-year-old male kicked a garage door. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $500.00.

    Officers filed a report for arson in the 200 block of Seventh St. in Ogden on September 28, 2020, at approximately 10:11 p.m. Officers listed a 35-year-old female as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect threw an object that was on fire onto her property. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.00.
