A Riley County Emergency Medical Services employee has tested positive for COVID-19.
Riley County EMS was notified Wednesday that the part-time employee tested positive and believe the employee was exposed during their last shift.
The employee was last on duty and in contact with the public on Oct. 8.
While contact tracing for this case is still in progress, the employee is believed to be the only emergency-services worker or member of the public to have been exposed.
Riley County EMS will not publish news releases covering positive cases among employees in the future. Instead, it will address such information at Monday-morning Riley County Commission meetings.
