Pott. County Sheriff’s Office searching for two stolen trailers

The Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in the search for two trailers that have been stolen in the past week.

The first theft occurred between Oct. 30 and Nov. 1 at a work site in the 4000 block of Tyler Court on the Pottawatomie County side of Manhattan. It involved a black enclosed single-axle trailer with a white top and silver trim.

Between the trailer and the construction tools it contained, losses are estimated at about $15,000.

The second theft took place place between Nov. 1 and 2 in the 5500 block of Kaw Valley Rd. in Wamego.

It involved a Eagle brand 7-by-18-foot flat-bed double-axle trailer with wood floors, white wheels, black side-rails and an approximately 5-foot rear drop-down gate.
