MANHATTAN, KAN. –
Officers filed a report for criminal damage to property and criminal discharge of a firearm in the 2000 block of Tuttle Creek Blvd. in Manhattan on December 7, 2020, at approximately 9:29 a.m. Officers listed a 21-year-old female as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect shot her unoccupied vehicle. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $500.00. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Officers responded to the report of an injury crash near the intersection of N. Juliette Ave. and Moro St. on December 7, 2020, at approximately 4:13 p.m. When officers arrived on scene they found a 2018 Dodge Journey driven by Jack Helms, 43, of St. George had struck a 2015 Honda Civic driven by Marina Morgan, 29, of Manhattan. Summer Helms, passenger of the Dodge Journey, was transported to Via Christi for treatment of head, ear, and shoulder injuries.
