WICHITA, Kan. — Police say one person has died and three others were injured in a two-vehicle crash in northeastern Wichita that shut down a stretch of Interstate 135 for several hours.
Television station KSNW reports that the crash happened around 2:30 a.m. Monday at I-135 and 13th Street. Investigators determined that one car rear-ended another, sending that car over a guardrail of the elevated interstate to the ground below. Police say a person in the car that remained on the interstate died and two others were injured.
Police said the driver of that vehicle sent over the side of the interstate is being treated at a hospital.
