WICHITA, Kan. — Police in Wichita say a man has died in an overnight shooting, and homicide detectives are searching for a suspect.
Television station KAKE reports that the shooting happened shortly before 1 a.m. Wednesday. Officers called to the home where the shooting was reported found a man in his 20s suffering from a gunshot wound. Police say the man died from his injuries on the way to the hospital. Police say several witnesses in the home told investigators the shooting happened during an argument.
Police were searching for a suspect, and no arrests had been reported by midmorning Wednesday.
