Pawnee Mental Health Services to launch new website

0
By KMAN Staff on March 26, 2021 Local News, Manhattan
Pawnee Mental Health
Pawnee Mental Health Services is launching a new website in celebration of its 65th anniversary.
PMHS executive director Robbin Cole says that while the website will have the same URL, it will feature a lot of new information.
“Information about how to apply for jobs at Pawnee Mental Health [services], who the leadership of the organization is, both in terms of staff, management and board [and]information about coming events,” Cole said.
Users of the new website will also be able to use it to donate to PMHS.
The plan is to launch the website on April 1.
According to Cole, a lot has changed at PMHS since it got its start as the Riley County Mental Health Center in 1956.
“That very first year of incorporation, we had one therapist who functioned as the therapist and the executive director,” Cole said. “He had one office at what was then Memorial Hospital on Sunset Avenue, which we now know as Lafene Health Center.”
PMHS currently serves about 7,000 people across 10 counties per year .
