TOPEKA, Kan. — Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a juvenile several blocks east of downtown Topeka. Police say in a news release that the shooting was reported around 7:20 p.m. Thursday.
Officers arrived to find a person suffering from gunshot wounds. The person was taken to an area hospital and pronounced dead. Police say the victim is a juvenile and that they are withholding the victim’s name.
No arrests had been reported in the shooting by Friday morning.
