    The following summary of calls for service/reports filed by the Riley County Police Department is a portion of those received by police. Some names, addresses, and case details are withheld to follow local, state, and federal law as well as in an attempt to protect community members from being victimized further. Those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

    MANHATTAN, KAN. – 

    Officers filed a report for theft and criminal use of a financial card in Manhattan on June 25, 2021, at approximately 11:42 a.m. Officers listed Hyvee and a 49-year-old male as the victims when it was reported an unknown suspect unlawfully used a financial card to make several purchases in and around Manhattan. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $1,080. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

    Officers filed a report for burglary, criminal damage to property and theft in the 2100 block of Buckingham St. in Manhattan on June 25, 2021, at approximately 4:03 p.m. Officers listed a 26-year-old female as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect broke into her car and stole a wallet. The victim also reported her black USA mountain bicycle as stolen. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $650. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers.     Officers filed a report for burglary in the 400 block of Seventh St. in Ogden on June 26, 2021, at approximately 11:47 p.m. Officers listed a 28-year-old female as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect broke into a storage trailer workshop and stole welding, farm, and horse farrier tools. The estimated total loss associated with this case is estimated at over $3,000. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers.     Officers filed a report for aggravated assault, criminal discharge of a firearm, and criminal damage to property near the intersection of Bluemont Ave. and N. 12th St. in Manhattan on June 27, 2021, at approximately 2:25 a.m. Officers listed a 26-year-old male, Courtyard by Marriott, and the City of Manhattan as the victims when it was reported an unknown male suspect pointed a gun at the 26-year-old male victim, then fired a gun, damaging a window on the Courtyard by Marriott.     Officers filed a report for criminal damage to property in the 1500 block of N. 10th St. in Manhattan on June 27, 2021, at approximately 8:02 a.m. Officers listed Manhattan Country Club as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect vandalized the pool with graffiti and damaged pool chairs. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $800. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers.     Officers filed a report for aggravated domestic battery in Manhattan on June 27, 2021, at approximately 3:46 p.m. Officers listed a 32-year-old female as the victim when it was reported a 33-year-old male suspect choked her. Anthony Brown, 33, of Manhattan was arrested in connection for aggravated domestic battery. Brown was issued a total bond of $7,000 and is no longer confined at the time of this report.

    Officers filed a report for burglary in the 700 block of Allison Ave. in Manhattan on June 27, 2021, at approximately 7:08 p.m. Officers listed a 19-year-old female and a 22-year-old male as the victims when it was reported an unknown suspect broke into an apartment and stole a 55-inch Samsung television, an Xbox One gaming system, an HP Google Chromebook, and other miscellaneous items. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $570. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers.
