MHS girls’ T&F takes 1st at inaugural K-State Relays

Manhattan High School girls’ track and field claimed the inaugural K-State Relays team championship Saturday afternoon at R.V. Christian Track in Manhattan. The meet, held Friday and Saturday, featured the best high school track and field athletes from Kansas and neighboring states. Staff photos by Lewis Marien

Manhattan High track and field turned in a strong showing over the weekend, as the Indians’ girls won the inaugural K-State Relays while the boys placed third at the R.V. Christian Track Complex.

The unique, relay-focused meet brought together top competition from across Kansas and surrounding states, with team scoring centered around relay events and select field competitions.
