    Officers filed a report for theft in the 2900 block of Stagg Hill Rd. in Manhattan on July 23, 2021, around 10:42 a.m. Officers listed a 76-year-old male as the victim when it was reported a 35-year-old male suspect and a 70-year-old female suspect wrote unauthorized checks with the victim’s information to make purchases in Manhattan, Topeka and Lawrence. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $3,609. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

    Officers filed a report for theft in the 400 block of E. Poyntz Ave. in Manhattan on July 23, 2021, around 5:32 p.m. Officers listed 15- and 16-year-old males as the victims when it was reported an unknown suspect cut a lock belonging to the 16-year-old victim from a black specialized bicycle belonging to the 15-year-old victim and stole the bicycle. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $505. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers.     Officers responded to the report of an injury accident near the intersection of S. Scenic Dr. and Fossilridge Dr. in Manhattan on July 23, 2021, around 9:20 p.m. When officers arrived on scene they found a 2006 Toyota Camry driven by Cadyn Allen, 25, of Manhattan had struck a deer that had ran into the roadway. Allen was transported to Via Christi for treatment of glass in her eyes.

    Officers filed a report for theft in the 900 block of Fremont St. in Manhattan on July 24, 2021, around 3:07 p.m. Officers listed a 24-year-old male as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect stole his black Springfield XDS 9mm pistol and a Crimson Trace green dot optic. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $670. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers.     Officers filed a report for criminal discharge of a firearm and criminal damage to property in the 400 block of S. 10th St. in Manhattan on July 25, 2021, around 1:20 a.m. Officers listed a 38-year-old female and Frontier Property Management as the victims when it was reported an unknown suspect shot a gun multiple times hitting a house and a car. No injuries were reported. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $2,500. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers.     Officers filed a report for criminal damage to property in the 3300 block of Ashwood Cir. in Manhattan on July 25, 2021, around 4:26 p.m. Officers listed a 44-year-old female as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect scratched her truck with keys. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $2,000. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers.     Officers filed a report for criminal damage to property, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia in the 2200 block of Snowbird Dr. in Manhattan on July 25, 2021, around 6:23 p.m. Officers listed a 62-year-old male and the City of Manhattan as the victims when it was reported a 16-year-old male suspect damaged two windows to a house and was found in possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $700. Anthony James Belin, 16, of Manhattan was arrested in connection for criminal damage to property, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Belin was released into his parents’ care.

    Officers responded to the report of an injury accident near the intersection of Gardiner Rd. and Tuttle Creek Blvd. near Randolph on July 25, 2021, around 9:14 p.m. When officers arrived on scene they found a 2003 Mercury Sable driven by Bradley Fiegener, 25, of Leonardville had struck a 2002 Honda Accord driven by Gary Krumm, 20, of Manhattan. Krumm was transported to Via Christi for treatment of chest and head pain.
