A local tradition continues this weekend when volunteers supporting the Flint Hills Breadbasket set up at area grocers for its annual SouperBowl food and fund drive.

Food collection to stock up the pantry will take place Saturday ahead of the big football game Sunday. Non-perishable items can be dropped off at various sites and then distributed on Monday.

Event organizer and former Riley County Attorney Bill Kennedy spoke with KMAN earlier this week about the long-standing annual fundraiser.

Kennedy stated, collections will take place at Dillons East from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Dillons West from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Hy-Vee from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and at RCPD from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday.
