    The following summary of calls for service/reports filed by the Riley County Police Department is a portion of those received by police. Some names, addresses, and case details are withheld to follow local, state, and federal law as well as in an attempt to protect community members from being victimized further. Those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

    MANHATTAN, KAN. – 

    Officers filed a report for criminal damage to property in the 1800 block of Anderson Ave. in Manhattan on March 21, 2022, around 9:18 a.m. Officers listed a 19-year-old female as the victim when it was reported a cinder block was thrown at her car causing damage to the hood, windshield, and sunroof. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $1,000. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

    Officers filed a report for sexual battery in Manhattan on March 21, 2022, around 9:54 a.m. Officers listed a 23-year-old female as the victim and a 39-year-old male known to her as the suspect. Due to the nature of this crime, no further information will be released.

    Officers filed a report for theft in the 300 block of N. 5th St. in Manhattan on March 21, 2022, around 11:22 a.m. Officers listed an 81-year-old female as the victim when it was reported her bicycle was stolen. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $900. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

    Officers filed a report for theft in the 100 block of Sarber Ln. in Manhattan on March 21, 2022, around 12:02 p.m. Officers listed Dillons as the victim when it was reported 20- and 21-year-old females stole approximately $875 worth of cash and gift cards.
