    Segment 4 – 35:45

Monday’s edition of In Focus featured guests from the Sunset Zoo, UFM Community Learning Center, and the Manhattan Regional Airport.

The show opened with a conversation with Zoo Marketing and Development Officer Melissa Kirkwood. She spoke in segment 1 about recent outings at Sunset Zoo, including the end of Pollinator Week and a movie night for Zoo members. Kirkwood gave some animal updates in segment 2, talking about Susie the Chimp’s recent 68th birthday party as well as the Zoo’s new baby Flamingo.

In segment 3, we bid UFM’s former executive director Linda Teener farewell as she enters a soft retirement — soft because she’s staying on as UFM’s finance coordinator as new director Aliah Mestrovich Seay enters the picture. The two joined the show to talk about the organization, their goals in their new roles, as well as summer programs opening up.

The program closed with a pre-recorded conversation with Airport Director Brandon Keazer.
