    Manhattan resident enters rocket to Riley County Fair

    A Manhattan 9-year-old entered a rocket as his STEM Project at the Riley County Fair, Friday afternoon.
    Gantt Chase from the CiCo Shamrocks 4-H Club already has a background in rocketry.

    Participants submitted their projects, along with evidence that it is operational, directly to a judge. The judges critiqued the projects as they were submitted, giving compliments on design and advice on improvements.
    Chase also had the opportunity to interact with a professional engineer.

    The Riley County Fair wraps up Monday at CiCo Park.
