Friday’s edition of In Focus featured guests from the Riley County Police Department.
Administrative Cpt. Josh Kyle and Patrol Cpt. Greg Steere joined the program for the hour, starting off the show discussing increased police enforcement of construction areas on Linear Trail as well as the upcoming National Night Out event.
The duo discussed Riley County crime statistics in the second segment, which have come in below the state average for 19 years. Conversation in segment 3 turned to the Department’s ‘playbook,’ which provides patrol officers a set of resources to use in the field that translate research-indicated best practices into actionable advice.
The program concluded with a discussion of RCPD’s Safe Cam program and what signing up entails.
