    Lyon County officials searching for armed and dangerous suspect

    Officials in Lyon County are searching for a shooting suspect, considered to be armed and dangerous.

    The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office is searching for 37 year old Logan Casteel, after and Emporia man was shot earlier in the week according to KVOE.

    Thursday the Sheriff’s Office said deputies were searching for Casteel following the shooting which was reported Monday night at 625 Road 160. Deputies and Emporia Police officers responded to Newman Regional Health just after 7:30pm Monday, after 38 year old Justin Smith arrived needing treatment for a serious gunshot wound, and later transferred to a different hospital.

    Casteel is described as a white male with brown hair and brown eyes. He is to be considered armed and dangerous. If spotted, do not engage and call 911.
