Officers filed a report for aggravated arson at Manhattan High School in the 2100 block of Poyntz Ave. on November 28, 2022, around 10:45 a.m. after a bathroom soap dispenser was lit on fire. It was quickly extinguished by a teacher with a fire extinguisher. The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Officers filed a report for fraud in the 2100 block of Meadowlark Rd. in Manhattan on November 28, 2022, around 5:00 p.m. An 86-year-old woman was listed as the victim when it was reported a 66-year-old woman known to her wrote a $3,500 check to herself with the victim’s checkbook.
