    The following summary of calls for service/reports filed by the Riley County Police Department is a portion of those received by police. Some names, addresses, and case details are withheld to follow local, state, and federal law and in an attempt to protect community members from being victimized further. Those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

    MANHATTAN, KAN. – 

    Alia Lucas, 25, of Manhattan was arrested on her warrant for probation violation warrant stemming from battery on a law enforcement officer charges in 2021 and 2022. She remains confined in the Riley County Jail with a total bond of $75,000.

    Officers filed a report for theft in the 600 block of Pecan Cir. in Manhattan on January 25, 2023, around 10:00 a.m. UMB Bank and Manhattan Winsupply were listed as the victims when it was reported a business check was stolen from Manhattan Winsupply’s mailbox from an unknown suspect and deposited. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $1,000. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

    Officers filed a report for criminal use of a financial card in the 3000 block of Sandstone Dr. in Manhattan on January 25, 2023, around 10:30 a.m. A 28-year-old man was listed as the victim when it was reported his credit card was stolen and used to make multiple unauthorized purchases. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $635. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

    Officers filed a report for burglary in the 100 block of Manhattan Town Center in Manhattan on January 25, 2023, around 10:15 p.m. A 27-year-old woman was listed as the victim when she reported her car was broken into and $250 cash, clothing, and Calvin Klein perfume were stolen. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $820. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

    Officers filed a report for attempted aggravated assault and criminal damage to property near the intersection of Riley Ave. and N. Elm St. in Ogden on January 26, 2023, around 12:45 a.m. A 33-year-old woman was listed as the victim when it was reported a 43-year-old man had attempted to get inside her vehicle by prying the window down after an argument and also hit the vehicle with a knife.
