    On Friday’s edition of In Focus Riley County Extension Agricultural Agent Greg McClure visited with us about lower critical temperatures for cattle, feedlot mud and calving season tips.

    Meadowlark Special Programs Leader Michelle Haub visited with us about collaborations happening between the organization and the Manhattan Senior Center.

    Rock Creek High School sophomore and Aiden Levendofsky joined us to talk about his upcoming performance in the Kansas Music Educators Association state competition for young composers. Aiden was also the winner of the 2022 National Association For Music Educators (NAfME) composer competition. He’s performing his piece “There will come soft rains” with Janie Brokenicky on soprano and Aiden on piano.

    K-State College of Agriculture Dean Dr. Ernie Minton visited with us about the recent awarding of a $25 million challenge grant to the college for planned infrastructure improvements.

    VFW Post 1786 Commander Dan Watkins and Jr. Vice Commander Mike Riley spoke about upcoming activities, including a Saturday fundraiser at Wahlburger’s inside HyVee.
