Riley County Police Department Director Brian Peete and Communications Center Manager Tyler Siefkes joined us Friday.

In segment 1, we discussed the morning’s injury crash at Seth Child and Anderson Ave and the crash investigation. Director Peete also highlighted his ongoing Town Hall series of meetings around Riley County and briefly touched on strategic planning in RCPD as well as accreditation in the communications center.

In segment 2, we visited about school safety following last week’s security incidents at Manhattan High School and Anthony Middle School.

In Segment 3, Tyler broke down RCPD’s Project Guardians program which helps patrol officers better respond to community members who may require special assistance.

In segment 4, RCPD’s website upgrade was discussed along with a recap of Polar Plunge, held earlier in the month to benefit Special Olympics.
