    The following summary of calls for service/reports filed by the Riley County Police Department is a portion of those received by police. Some names, addresses, and case details are withheld to follow local, state, and federal law and in an attempt to protect community members from being victimized further. Those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

    MANHATTAN, KAN. – 

    Officers filed a report for theft and criminal damage to property in the 300 block of Valley Dr. in Manhattan on February 24, 2023, around 5:45 p.m. A 51-year-old man was listed as the victim when it was reported the catalytic converter on his truck was cut off and stolen. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $2,000. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

    Therriana Pittman, 23, of Manhattan was arrested on February 23, 2023, around 11:45 p.m. in the 2000 block of Tuttle Creek Blvd. in Manhattan on her Riley County District Court warrant for probation violation. The probation violation stems from Pittman’s arrest on February 14, 2023, after a search warrant was conducted for suspected distribution of controlled substances in the 700 block of Mission Ave. in Manhattan. Pittman remains confined in the Riley County Jail with a total bond of $50,000.
