On Tuesday’s edition of In Focus, Riley County Commission Chair Kathryn Focke and County Appraiser Anna Burson joined us.

Commissioner Focke and Burson discuss 2023 valuation notices which were sent out to property owners last month, showing anywhere from a 7 to 17 percent increase for most taxpayers.

Commissioner Focke recaps last week’s public meeting in Keats, regarding the modernization of the sanitary sewer district and feedback received from residents who live in that area.

We wrap our conversation with a discussion on the future of the Riley County Fairgrounds after it was announced recently a task force would be formed to explore best options for facilities.
