Riley County Police are investigating an aggravated assault incident involving a 16-year-old male who says a handgun was pulled on him while playing tag with others.

The incident reportedly occurred around 7 p.m. Saturday in the 2700 block of Anderson Ave. The male suspect was unknown to the victim. According to RCPD Public Information Officer Aaron Wintermote, the victim was playing tag in the parking lot of Sonic with several people and was chasing after the suspect as he thought he was playing tag with him into the Walgreens parking lot, and across Anderson into the Dillons parking lot. When the victim realized the suspect was not playing tag he returned to Sonic.

The suspect reportedly returned to the Sonic parking lot about 15 minutes later and allegedly pulled a the gun on the victim.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers.
