Officers filed a report for identity theft in the 1400 block of Highland Dr. in Manhattan on April 27, 2023, around 1:00 p.m. A 38-year-old man was listed as the victim when he reported an unknown suspect opened a Verizon account and credit card in his name and charged over $16,000 to the two accounts. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service allows you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
Rhonda Rand, 52, of Manhattan was arrested on April 27, 2023, around 11;30 a.m. on her Manhattan Municipal Court warrants for failure to appear. Rand was issued a total bond of $6,000 and is no longer confined at the time of this report.
