Alvin Mason, 39, of Abilene was arrested on May 16, 2023, around 1:30 on his two Riley County District Court warrants and one Ogden Municipal Court warrant all for failure to appear. These warrants stem from Mason’s failure to appear in court for original charges of criminal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of an amephatime, possession of drug paraphernalia, violation of the offender registration act, driving with no license, and driving with no insurance. Officers filed a report for aggravated battery in the 2100 block of Mike Pl. in Manhattan on May 16, 2023, around 4:30 p.m. A 16-year-old girl was listed as the victim when it was reported two 16-year-old girls came into her house and began physically fighting her, knocking her unconscious. The victim was transported to Via Christi for treatment of her injuries. Keeghan Rayburn, of Ogden, and Scarlett Mercado, of Manhattan, both 16 were arrested in connection for aggravated battery and release to guardians.
