A Manhattan man was arrested Thursday morning on a Riley County District Court warrant for rape.
The Riley County Police Department noted in Friday’s arrest report that 64-year-old Clark Peterson was arrested around 11:30 a.m. on one count of sexual intercourse without consent and use of force. The warrant stems from a July 2022 incident involving a 49-year-old woman known to Peterson.
Peterson was issued a total bond of $50,000 and was no longer confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of the report’s release.
Due to the nature of this crime, no further information will be released.
