MANHATTAN, Kan. (K-State Athletics) – Kansas State head coaches Jeff Mittie and Jerome Tang will help lead youth clinics during the Big 12 Conference’s Rucker Park program, “Big 12 Hoops in the Park,” on Tuesday, July 18 in New York City.

The event, which is being held in partnership with New York City Parks, Hard Rock Hotels, Gatorade and WHOOP, will include drills and clinic sessions and a coaches’ Q&A, along with live DJs, food trucks and much more.

Mittie and Tang will be joined by nine other league coaches, including Baylor’s Scott Drew, BYU’s Mark Pope, Cincinnati’s Wes Miller, Oklahoma State’s Mike Boynton and TCU’s Jamie Dixon on the men’s side and BYU’s Amber Whiting, Cincinnati’s Katrina Merriweather, Houston’s Ron Hughey and Texas Tech’s Krista Gerlich among women’s coaches.

K-State is coming off an impressive first season under Tang, who guided the Wildcats to a 26-10 record and the school’s 13th trip to the Elite Eight in 2022-23. Tang was named the Big 12 Coach of the Year by both the league coaches and The Associated Press as well as Nasmith Men’s College of the Year.

Mittie will be entering his 10th season at K-State in 2023-24, having guided the Wildcats to 164 wins and 7 postseason appearances, including 4 trips to the NCAA Tournament.
