A Manhattan woman who led police on a pursuit was arrested Wednesday, while a passenger in her car was issued a notice to appear in court after drugs were found in the vehicle.

Riley County Police say 18-year-old Sarah White, of Manhattan, is charged with fleeing and eluding law enforcement, as well possession of drug parphernalia and marijuana. Officers conducted a traffic stop on her car in the 2700 block of Kimball Ave. When officers initiated lights and sirens, they say White accelerated eastbound, passing cars on Kimball Ave., running a stop light at the intersection of Kimball and College Ave. While attempting a turn at the intersection, White’s vehicle skidded off the road, striking a concrete and limestone pillar.

White was released from jail after posting a $6,000 bond. RCPD says 18-year-old Alexis Reich, also of Manhattan, was issued a notice to appear on two drug possession charges.
