USD 383 bids farewell to Marvin Wade and Lew Faust

USD 383 celebrated the departure of Superintendent Dr. Marvin Wade and Director of Business Services Lew Faust with a joint retirement party Thursday at the Robinson Education Center.

Wade has spent the last seven years serving as superintendent for the Manhattan-Ogden schools, and Faust stepped into the role of Director of Business Services 12 years ago.

Both reflected back on their time with the district and noted there is one significant thing that has made their tenures special: the people.

When looking ahead, Wade said he doesn’t plan on leaving the area and is looking forward to the great things yet to come.

Faust said he isn’t sure exactly what the future holds, but he plans to find fun ways to spend his new free time with family.

Both Wade and Faust announced their departures late last year. Beginning July 1st, Assistant Superintendent Eric Reid will take over for Wade, and Andrew Hutchinson, the district’s Assistant Director of Early Learning and Coordinator of Grants and Compliance, will fill Faust’s role.
