    Geary County hires new health director

    Geary County officials announced the selection of the new health director on Monday.

    According to a news release, Mary Jo Fleming, Ph.D., will soon step into the role of director. Fleming has worked in health care for more than two decades and worked at the VA Hospital in Oklahoma City throughout the pandemic.

    Fleming completed her doctorate in 2018 in Industrial and Organizational Psychology and has spent time working in mental health care. She also has an extensive background in administration and business management.

    Fleming will officially take over as director July 10th.
