Riley County Police are investigating a pair of incidents involving lost or stolen property.
Officers filed a theft by deception report Monday evening in Manhattan after a 23-year-old woman reported she sent a $500 deposit to a 25-year-old male suspect to buy a dog. She never received the dog or her money back.
Officers also filed a report for theft or lost or mislaid property in the 100 block of South 3rd Street. RCPD says a 50-year-old man reported his iPhone 13 Pro fell off his hip case. When he realized it was gone, the location was moving on the Find My iPhone app. The estimated total loss is around $1,200.
