Marijuana fire leads to arrest on multiple drug charges

A Manhattan woman was arrested Sunday on a host of drug-related offenses.

According to the Riley County Police Department, 31-year-old Sarah Easterday was jailed on a warrant alleging distribution of intent to distribute marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school, cultivation of marijuana, child endangerment and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.

The warrant stems from a December 2021 warrant in the 1400 block of Yuma Street where responding officers found marijuana burning inside the home.

Easterday is out of jail after posting a $30,000 bond.
