Brycen Tyler, 16, of Manhattan was arrested on August 29, 2023, at approximately 2:15 p.m. at Manhattan High School (MHS) after it was reported he made threats of violence and indications he may possess a weapon. A School Resource Officer made contact with Tyler after receiving reports of these comments and found that he was not in possession of a weapon. Ultimately, Tyler was arrested for aggravated criminal threat and transported to the North Central Kansas Regional Juvenile Detention Facility in Junction City.

Delaware Ave. in Manhattan on August 29, 2023, at approximately 5:15 p.m. A 34-year-old male was listed as the victim when he reported his storage unit was broken into and a Dell laptop computer, Craftsman toolbox, and two Makita drills were stolen from inside.
