A showdown between unbeaten teams in the Centennial League highlights Friday’s high school football slate, as Manhattan visits Washburn Rural. The Indians have won a school record 16 straight dating back to last season and both they and the Junior Blues are 3-0 entering the contest. Coverage from Topeka begins at 6:30 on Newsradio KMAN.

Wamego continues a homestand, welcoming in KC Washington. The Wildcats enter 3-0 after wins over Sumner Academy, Harmon and Bonner Springs. Wamego is 2-1, rebounding after an opening week loss to Clay Center to gain wins over Marysville and Concordia. Coverage on B104.7 begins at 6:30 tonight as the matchup is the Carpet One of Manhattan Game of the Week.

Riley County attempts to get back to .500 after falling at home to Rock Creek last Friday night. The Falcons host Royal Valley as the Panthers also are attempting to get to even on the season after besting Riverside last week.

Now 2-1 after last week’s win against the Falcons, the Mustangs visit Silver Lake. The Eagles are 2-1 after clipping St. Marys last Friday.

Junction City meets Bishop Carroll, having blown out McPherson last week. The Bluejays are 2-1 while the visitors are 1-2 after being blown out by Derby a week ago.

Blue Valley-Randolph is seeking its third win in four games when it visits 1-2 Hanover.

Frankfort is trying to rebound after its first loss of the year when it travels to winless Doniphan West.

A full rundown of the night’s scores and highlights will air on Scoreboard Saturday, presented by WTC Communications, at 8:00 a.m. Saturday morning on Newsradio KMAN.
