    Officers filed a report for criminal damage to property in the 500 block of Richards Dr. in Manhattan, around 9:00 a.m. on September 8, 2023.  A 54-year-old man reported that an unknown person intentionally damaged his vehicle.  The estimated loss was $600. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Using Crime Stoppers allows you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

    Officers filed a report for interference with law enforcement in the 400 block of Fort Riley Blvd. in Manhattan, around 10:30 p.m. on September 10, 2023.  John Swartz, 52, of Manhattan was contacted by officers who were attempting to arrest him on a Manhattan Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear.  Swartz ran from police and was located and detained a short time later. Swartz was arrested on the warrant and also arrested for interference with law enforcement.  Swartz remains confined in the Riley County Jail with a total bond of $5,000.
