The annual Wamego Invitational cross country meet Saturday saw the host boys finish fourth in the 4A race while Rock Creek placed 10th as a squad in a race won by Southeast of Saline.
The Wamego girls finished seventh on the day, as Christ Prep of Lenexa claimed the crown in that race.
The Smoky Valley boys and Norton girls were the 3-2-1A team winners with Riley County’s boys placing eighth, the girls fifth.
Individually, Rock Creek’s Lucia Nippert finished 10th to place the Mustangs in the Girls 4A race and Parker Peyton of Wamego was the fourth place finisher in the Boys race.
