MANHATTAN, Kansas (K-State Athletics) – For the third time in her career, K-State center Ayoka Lee has been named the Ann Meyers Drysdale National Player of the Week honors by the United States Basketball Writers Association (USBWA).

Lee previously earned the honor on Jan. 4, 2022, and Jan. 25, 2022.

The product of Byron, Minnesota, helped the Wildcats to a 2-0 week, including a win at second-ranked Iowa on Thursday and a home win over Wisconsin on Sunday.

In the two games, Lee averaged 21 points on a .600 field goal percentage, 8.5 rebounds, 2.5 blocks, 1.0 steals and 0.5 assists.

Facing Iowa for the first time in her career, Lee tallied her 51st career double-double with 22 points on 9-of-14 shooting, 12 rebounds and two blocked shots. Lee was crucial in the fourth quarter, scoring 10 points to help K-State overcome a six-point fourth quarter deficit to capture the win.

Against Wisconsin, Lee registered a team-high 20 points on 9-of-16 shooting, five rebounds and three blocked shots.

In her career, Lee ranks fifth on the K-State career points list with 1,749 and fifth in program history for career rebounds with 921. She is third in school history for career blocks with 245.

This season, Lee is averaging 22.0 points on a .632 field goal percentage, 8.5 rebounds and 2.5 blocks.

K-State closes the month of November at the 2023 Clean Simple Eats Gulf Coast Showcase in Estero, Florida, at Hertz Arena. The Wildcats will open the event on Friday, November 24, as the Wildcats face Western Kentucky at 10 a.m. (CT).

All of K-State’s games can be seen on FloHoops (subscription required) and can be heard on the K-State Sports Network, on the K-State Sports app and on kstatesports.com.
