Sentencing will be held tomorrow afternoon in Riley County District Court for Kamahl Bobian, the 29-year-old Manhattan man who was convicted last month of murdering his estranged wife.
Bobian was convicted for one count of first degree murder, one count of aggravated burglary and two counts of violating a protective order on Nov. 3. Jurors took a little over 2 hours to deliberate before convicting Bobian of his crimes. Bobian faces a sentence anywhere from 50 years to life in prison.
The murder occurred back in Sept. 2021 when Bobian murdered his estranged wife Shannell Bobian by plunging a knife into the victim’s neck. Bobian would later confess his crimes to officers.
The sentencing hearing is expected to begin at 1:30 p.m. in Judge Kendra Lewison’s court room.
