Officers filed a report for lewd and lascivious in Manhattan on December 8, 2023, around 4:36 PM. Officers listed a 14-year-old female, a 16-year-old male, and a 17-year-old male as the victims when it was reported a known male suspect undressed in a public hot tub. Fernando Velasquez, 31, of Manhattan was arrested in connection on a probable cause offense of lewd and lascivious. Velasquez was issued a total bond of $7,000 and was confined at the time of this report.

Officers filed a report for motor vehicle theft in the 3300 block of Fairman Circle in Manhattan on December 8. 2023 around 6:16 PM. Officers listed a 22-year-old female as the victim when she reported a known suspect took her her 2017 Nissan Altima. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $9,500.

Officers responded to the report of an injury crash near the intersection of North Manhattan Avenue and Bluemont Avenue in Manhattan on December 8, 2023, around 10:01 PM. When officers arrived on scene they found a silver 2021 Honda Civic driven by Jacob Wuthnow, 18, of Manhattan, had crashed with a pedestrian, Isabella Rosario, 18, of Manhattan. Rosario was transported to Via Christi for treatment of her injuries.

Officers filed a report for electronic solicitation of a minor on December 9, 2023, around 12:03 AM. Officers listed a 12-year-old male as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect solicited photos of the minor online. Due to the nature of the crime reported no additional information will be released.

Amy Roth, 37, of Manhattan was arrested while in the 150 block of East Poyntz Avenue in Manhattan on December 8, 2023, around 7:03 AM. Roth was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for failure to appear. The original charge was for forgery (x2). Roth was issued a total bond of $15,000 and was confined at the time of this report.

Danielle Sullivan, 32, of Wichita was arrested while at the Riley County Police Department on December 8, 2023, around 12:05 PM. Sullivan was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for failure to appear. The original charge was for interference with LEO. Sullivan was issued a total bond of $20,000 and was not confined at the time of this report.

Officers filed a report for theft in the 100 block of Bluemont Avenue in Manhattan on December 9, 2023, around 12:18 PM. Officers listed Walmart as the victim when it was reported two unknown suspects stole multiple Lego sets. The estimated total loss associated with this case is estimated to be over $1,000. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Officers filed a report for theft near the intersection of Fairview Church Road and Cavalry Road in Leonardville on December 9, 2023, around 5:31 PM. Officers listed the Kansas Department of Transportation as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect damaged a wooden post and took a stop sign. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $500. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Laura Fondren, 42, of Manhattan was arrested while in the 1500 block of Jarvis Drive in Manhattan on December 9, 2023, around 8:26 PM. Fondren was arrested on a probable cause offense of aggravated assault. Fondren was issued a total bond of $5,000 and was confined at the time of this report.

Officers filed a report for theft in the 100 block of Bluemont Avenue in Manhattan on December 10, 2023, around 3:55 PM. Officers listed Walmart as the victim when it was reported 2 unknown suspects stole 3 iPad 9s. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $1,146. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Officers filed a report for rape in Manhattan on December 10, 2023. Officers listed a 22-year-old female as the victim and a male known to her as the suspect. Due to the nature of the crime reported no additional information will be released.
