A Grandview Plaza man was arrested on Tuesday afternoon in Manhattan for drug distribution.

39-year-old Curtis James Colley Jr. was arrested on one count of distribution of marijuana less than 450 grams, one count of distributing an opiate or narcotic less than 100 grams, one count of possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture, plant or cultivate and a possession of an illegal substance.

According to the Kansas Department of Corrections, Colley has a lengthy criminal history that includes convictions for aggravated burglary, aggravated intimidation of a witness and for making a criminal threat.

Colley Jr. was arrested and booked into the Riley County Jail just after 11:40 am on Tuesday. He currently remains jailed on a $10,000 bond.

According to Riley County Police Department Public Information Officer Ashley Tokoi the charges stem from a Feb. 17, 2021 traffic stop where drugs were found in Colley’s vehicle and charges were filed on Jun. 5, 2022.
