Manhattan, KS – For the first time since the end of the 2003-2004 season, K-State women’s basketball is a top 10 team in the AP poll. In its latest poll released Monday, the Associated Press ranked K-State No. 7.  The Wildcats highest ranking in the Jeff Mittie era. Plus, the highest ranking since being ranked 5th at the beginning of the 2003-2004 season. That jumps K-State five spots after being ranked 12th last week.

This comes after the Wildcats beat No. 10 Texas on Saturday 61-58. In front of over 7,000 fans inside of Bramlage Coliseum. K-State has now won 11 straight games and not allowing opponents to get to 60 points in every one of the contests.

K-State is off to a 17-1 start. Plus, 5-0 to begin Big 12 play. Up next, KSU will visit TCU on Wednesday. Tip at 6:30, pregame at 6 PM on KMAN.
