    Officers filed a report for motor vehicle theft in the 200 block of Northfield Road in Manhattan on January 19, 2024, at approximately 2:13 PM. Officers listed a 61-year-old female as the victim when it was reported a known 56-year-old male had taken the vehicle without her permission. The estimated total loss is $10,000.

    Officers responded to the report of an injury accident at the intersection of 4th Street and Fort Riley BLVD in Manhattan on January 19, 2024, at approximately 3:09 PM. When officers arrived on the scene they found three vehicles were involved in the accident; a 2013 white Dodge Ram driven by Joshua Lewy, 42, of Manhattan, a 2013 white Chevy Cruze driven by Owen Mick, age 19, of Manhattan, and a 2016 Gray Honda Fit driven by Yolanda Broyles-Gonzalez, 74, of Manhattan involved in the multi-vehicle collision. Broyles-Gonzalez was transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Lewy was cited for following too close.

    Jordan Zimmerman,26, of Manhattan, was arrested in the 800 block of Vattier Street in Manhattan on January 19, 2024, at approximately 8:29 PM. Zimmerman was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for probation violation. The original charge was for criminal threat. The total bond was set for $15,000

    Jeffrey Jones, 39, of Manhattan was arrested on a custody warrant for a probation violation in the 1000 block of South Seth Child Ave., in Manhattan, Kansas, on January 19, 2024, at approximately 11:36 AM.  The original charge was for disorderly conduct.  The total bond was set at $5,000. Jones was confined at the time of this report.

    Colton Magnuson, 33, of Manhattan was arrested 100 block of Courthouse Place in Manhattan, Kansas, at approximately 1:20 PM. Magnuson was arrested on probable cause offenses regarding trafficking contraband in a correctional facility and unlawfully obtaining a prescription drug. Magnuson was issued a total bond of $9,000.

    Officers filed a report for aggravated assault and battery in the 200 block of Tuttle Creek Blvd. in Manhattan on January 20, 2024, at approximately 8:15 PM. Officers listed a 46-year-old male as both the victim and subject as well as a 43-year-old male as both a victim and subject when it was reported the two had an argument that turned physical.

    Francis Frimpong, 24, of Manhattan, was arrested on January 21, 2024, around 1:30 AM after officers responded to a domestic situation where it was reported Frimpong strangled a 28-year-old female and shattered her phone. Frimpong was arrested for domestic battery and criminal damage to property. He was issued a total bond of $5,000.

    James Dawson, Jr., 35, of Manhattan, was arrested on January 21, 2024, around 2:26 AM after officers responded to a domestic situation where it was reported Dawson was involved in an altercation with a 20-year-old male. The verbal altercation turned physical which resulted in several people stepping in resulting in injuries to a 19-year-old female and a 35-year-old female. Dawson was arrested for domestic battery and domestic criminal threat as well as a warrant out of Shawnee County. He was issued a total bond of $5,000.

    Officers filed a report for battery on a LEO, interference LEO, and disorderly conduct in the 500 block of Juliette Ave., Manhattan on January 21, 2024, at approximately 2:33 AM. A 41-year-old male RCPD police officer was listed as the victim when it was reported that 53-year-old Glen Bennett of Manhattan struck the officer with a closed fist.   Bennett was arrested in connection with battery on an LEO, interference LEO, and disorderly conduct. He was issued a $5,000 bond. He remains confined at the time of this report.

    Marissa Montiel, 28, of Manhattan was arrested on January 21, 2024, at approximately 4:00 AM after officers responded to a report of a domestic situation where it was reported Montiel struck a 24-year-old male multiple times and used her cell phone as a weapon as well as struck a 27-year-old female. Montiel was arrested for driving under the influence and domestic battery. She was issued a total bond of $5,000 and was confined at the time of this report.

    Officers filed a report of theft in the 300 block of 12th Street in Ogden on January 21, 2024, at approximately 4:03 PM. Officers listed a 27-year-old female as the victim when it was reported an unknown subject came onto her property and stole several totes full of items. The estimated total loss associated with this crime is approximately $1,000.
